What is DevMeetup-ET?

DevMeetup-ET is Ethiopia's developer community — where builders, thinkers, and tech leaders come to connect, learn, and grow.

It started small. September 2023, Addis Amba Hotel, 100 developers, self-funded by Chapi and Meron. No corporate backing. No grand plan. Just a room full of people who wanted honest conversations about tech, careers, and the future of tech in Ethiopia.

Three events later, that room is 1000+ strong.

Now we're building V4-2026.

The timing isn't a coincidence.

The best engineers we know are shipping in hours what used to take weeks. Not because they got smarter — because they changed how they work. The tools changed. The workflow changed. The ceiling on what one developer can build, alone, in a weekend — changed.

V4 is about that change. Practically. Honestly. No hype, no hand-waving — just what it actually looks like to build software in 2026, and how Ethiopian engineers can be at the front of it, not catching up.
